GM Recalls Another 3.2 Million Cars: May Constitute Last Vehicles GM Ever Made!

General Motors has provided more fodder for Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra’s return engagement with Congress.The Detroit-based automaker recalled another 3.16 million 2000 to 2014 model year vehicles, according to a U.S. regulatory filing Monday.
It was the second recall over consecutive business days, coming on top of a recall Friday of more than 500,000 Camaro sports cars plus other models. GM also said it now expects to record recall-related costs of $700 million for the second quarter, up from a previous estimate of $400 million.
GM said it’s recalling the newest batch of vehicles because they have ignition switches that “may inadvertently move out of the ‘run’ position if the key is carrying extra weight and experiences some jarring event.
