The allegedly awesome US economy is an artifact of the paint-by-the-numbers obsession of the Fed and its megaphones on Wall Street. And Friday's preposterous 222k print for nonfarm payrolls is prima facie evidence; it wasn't even remotely the proof of yet another summer rebound that it was cracked-up to be.
