Janet Yellen’s Ptolemaic Monetary Universe

For more than 2000 years leading thinkers believed that the sun, moon, planets and stars revolved around the earth, which, in turn, stood at the very center of the universe. But even back then observations didn't always square with the model----so the so-called Ptolemaic epicycles and work-arounds were invented to explain the deviations.
